80th Anniversary

Walking By Faith, Living in Love, Serving Our Community: Welcome Home

In 2024, St. Timothy’s marks its 80th anniversary, and we invite you to join the celebration and help celebrate St. Timothy’s rich legacy.

Share memories of St. Timothy’s ministries, outreach and impact in the Hillcrest and southeast community. We are excited to showcase our history and invite in new partners as we chart our path forward to live out our mission: Following Jesus by living in love, walking by faith and serving our community.

BREAKING GROUND

On October 22, 1950, ground was broken for the construction

of the lower level of a future church building. Construction

began on May 3, 1951, and the new structure was dedicated on

January 20, 1952. The last service was held in the original chapel on

June 6, 1954. Church services, beginning in June 1954, were held

in the new parish hall while plans were in progress to

complete the new building.
