Welcome
Welcome to St. Timothy’s, a caring & inclusive church. Since the mission was established in 1944, St. Timothy’s Church has been committed to a caring and outreach ministry. It is shown in our personal commitment and dedication to building meaningful relationships with one another and members of the community.

Spiritual Leadership
The Reverend Charles C. Amuzie, PhD delivered his first sermon to St. Timothy's parishioners as the new Rector on Sunday, January 4, 2009. The installation service was held on April 25, 2009. Click on the photo to read Reverend Amuzie's bio.
Outreach and Community Involvement
Our community involvement is far-reaching in the S.E. community having served hundreds of families through our Child Development Center (CDC) which is the oldest CDC in the Episcopal Diocese of Washington serving the community for 37 years. The Men of St. Timothy's (MoST) assist families by providing food during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The youth perform service projects such as cleaning Ft. DuPont Park, Anacostia River Clean-up, visiting the elderly in the local nursing home facility and preparing meals for those in need through organizations such as Bread for the City and Martha's Table.
Activities for Youth
The Church School year begins the second week in September. All youth are welcome to participate in classes that begin at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday.
Youth Group meetings are held every 1st - 4th Sunday immediately following service. The Junior Youth Group which meets every 2nd and 4th Sunday is for middle school age youth and the Senior Youth Group which meets every 1st and 3rd Sunday is for high school teens. Youth Sunday is every 4th Sunday.
The youth of St. Timothy’s participate in various events with other youth across the Diocese of Washington to include lock-ins and weekend retreats.
